On her 90th birthday, she was honored by the church with the renaming of her class as the Alice O’Brien Ladies’ Class. O’Brien was a member of First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, where she sang in the choir and taught a woman’s Sunday School Class for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Bill Burchill, of Peachtree City brothers and sisters-in-law Nita O’Brien and James and Margaret O’Brien, of Birmingham, AL, and several nieces and nephews. O’Brien is also predeceased by her husband of 57 years, William O’Brien.
